Iran Protests Round-Up—Day 42–October 27, 2022

October 27, 2022: Thursday, October 27, marked the 42nd day of nationwide protests against the Iranian regime, which began on September 16. Iran’s protests have expanded to 199 cities and all 31 provinces across the country.

According to reports gathered by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), the regime has so far killed 400 civilians and arrested 20,000 others. The PMOI/MEK has published the names of 260 killed protesters.

Protests in Khorramabad on 40th day of Nika Shakarami’s (نیکا شاکرمی) murder | October 27, 2022

On Thursday, another major protest rally was held in Khorramabad, the hometown of Nika Shakarami, a 16-year-old girl murdered by the regime’s security forces during the nationwide uprisings. Thursday marked the 40th day of her passing. The crowd gathered in Khorramabad shouted anti-regime slogans, including “We are all Nika, and we will fight to the end!” and “This is the year [Khamenei] will be overthrown!”

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi the president-elect of the NCRI sent a message on the nationwide uprising of the Iranian people, said: “On the 42nd day of #Iran uprising, protesters including freedom-loving doctors, staged Iran protests in Tehran, Karaj, Tabriz, Isfahan, Borujen, and Shiraz calling for the overthrow of the clerical regime, the enemy of Iran and Iranians. They will win victory.”
