Iran Protests Round-Up—Day 45–October 30, 2022

October 30, 2022: Sunday, October 30, marked the 45h day of nationwide protests against the Iranian regime, which began on September 16. Iran’s protests have expanded to 206 cities and all 31 provinces across the country.

According to reports gathered by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), the regime has so far killed 450 civilians and arrested 25,000 others. The PMOI/MEK has published the names of 260 killed protesters.

Protests in Mahabad, Bukan, Kerman, Sanandaj, and Ravansar. In several cities, protesters lit fire and prevented security forces from taking control of the streets.

Student protests across Iran | Iran uprising—Day 45 | October 30, 2022

October 30, 2022: Student protests in Tehran, Parand, Ahvaz, Babolsar, Babol, Tabriz, Zanjan, Sanandaj, Shiraz, Qazvin, Mashhad, and Hamedan.

In several locations, security forces attacked the students, but were met with fierce resistance. Clashes continued between security forces and students. More footage and reports from Tehran indicate security forces are directly firing at students with firearms.

In Sanandaj, clashes were reported in at least three universities, including Kurdistan University and Yazdanpanah University. Reports indicate security forces are using live ammunition against students.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the NCRI, sent a message about the nationwide uprising of the Iranian people and said: “Students’ defiance at Tehran, Sharif, Al-Zahra, Khajeh Nasir, Sanandaj, Shiraz, Urmia, Shahrud and other universities showed that Iran’s valiant children are not intimidated by IRGC’s brutality and pay the price of freedom. Unity and perseverance guarantee advancing toward freedom.”
