Iran Protests Round-Up—Day 62–November 16, 2022

November 16, 2022: Wednesday, November 16, marked the 62nd day of nationwide protests against the Iranian regime, which began on September 16. Iran’s protests have expanded to 227 cities and all 31 provinces across the country.

According to reports gathered by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), the regime has so far killed 560 civilians and arrested 30,000 others. The PMOI/MEK has published the names of 402 killed protesters.

November 16, 2022: Protests in Sanandaj, Shahrekord, Someh Sara, Shiraz, Fardis, Fuladshahr, Qaemshahr, Qorveh, Qazvin, Qom, Larestan, Lahijan, Mashhad, Mahabad, Hafshejan, Bandar-e Lengeh, Sanandaj, Kermanshah, Gorgan, Kamyaran, Islamshahr, Isfahan, Ahvaz, Babol, Bandar Abbas, Behbehan, Bukan, Tabriz, Tehran, Rasht, Fasa, Lahijan, Kazerun, and Yasuj.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the NCRI, sent a message about the nationwide uprising of the Iranian people and said: “On 2nd day of November 2019 anniversary, and 3rd month of Iran uprising, protesters rose up for freedom from Tehran’s Shadabad Bazaar to the Steel Mill Factory in Isfahan, from Sanandaj to Mahabad, Marvdasht, Izeh, Bandar Lengeh, and Evaz in Fars Province.”

She added: “Chanting “Death to the dictator” and by attacking the centers of suppression, Iran protesters demonstrated that the uprising for freedom will carry on to end of mullahs’ oppression and dictatorship.”

Mrs. Rajavi in another message said: “Khamenei committed yet another ruthless crime against humanity in Izeh, SW Iran. Kian Pirfalak, 10, was killed by plainclothes agents. He symbolizes the Iranian people’s innocence and the regime’s brutality, who killed dozens of people on November 15 and 16.“
