November 17, 2022: Thursday, November 17, marked the 63rd day of nationwide protests against the Iranian regime, which began on September 16. Iran’s protests have expanded to 231 cities and all 31 provinces across the country.
According to reports gathered by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), the regime has so far killed 600 civilians and arrested 30,000 others. The PMOI/MEK has published the names of 427 killed protesters.

Iran protests: Funerals turn into mass protests | November 18, 2022
On Friday, November 18, 2022, several Iranian cities saw large gatherings at funerals of civilians killed by security forces.
To this day, the regime has killed more than 600 people during nationwide protests. But the funerals of these victims turn into mass protests.
In Izeh, a large crowd gathered at the funeral of Kian Pirfalak (کیان پیرفلک), a ten-year-old child shot and killed by security forces on Wednesday. The ceremony turned into a mass protest rally. Protesters were chanting, “Death to Khamenei!” calling for the overthrow of the mullahs’ regime.
In Mahabad, people gathered at the funeral of Azad Hosseinpour (آزاد حسین پور), another youth killed by security forces. The mourners held protest rallies, in which they reiterated the values that have been underlined by the people’s revolution, which is freedom and equality.
The protesters were chanting, “Kurds, Baluchis, Azeris; Freedom and equality!” sending a message of national solidarity in contrast to the regime’s goal to divide the people across ethnic and religious lines.
In Tabriz, a large crowd gathered at the funeral of Aylar Haghi (آیلار حقی), another victim of the regime’s brutality. The ceremony turned into a massive protest rally, with protesters chanting, “This is the year Seyed Ali (Khamenei) is overthrown!” The protesters also vowed to continue the path of Aylar and other protesters murdered by the regime’s repressive forces. “We are all Aylar, and we’ll fight to the end!” the protesters were chanting.
In Semirom, the people gathered at the funeral of Morad Bahramian (مراد بهرامیان), also killed by security forces. As in other locations in Iran, the funeral turned into an anti-regime protest, with the demonstrators calling for the overthrow of the regime.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the NCRI, sent a message about the nationwide uprising of the Iranian people and said: “The 3rd day of memorial for November 2019 uprising saw strikes, protest, upheavals, and pledges to continue the path of martyrs to bring down Khamenei and the mullahs’ dictatorship in Iran. Iran Revolution will win.”
Mrs. Rajavi in another message said: “I salute the heroic martyrs of Bukan, Mohammad Hasanzadeh and Salar Mojaver, and the city’s courageous people who during the martyrs’ funeral forced the IRGC retreat. They took over the municipality and took control of parts of Bukan.“
“I salute the courageous people of Mahabad who walked to the funeral of Bukan’s martyrs despite IRGC’s blocking the roads. The Iranian people’s glorious march for freedom has started throughout the country, and no one can stop them from achieving their desire.“
