Washington, DC: Iranian Resistance Supporters Started a Long-Month Sit-in Outside the US Congress to Support the Iran Protests—Day 1

Washington, DC—October 30, 2022: Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) started a long-month sit-in and rally outside the US Congress to support the nationwide Iranian people’s uprising.

Their primary demand is to change the dictatorial regime in Iran by the Iranian people and to recognize the right of the Iranian people to legitimately defend themselves against the brutal repression of the mullahs’ regime.

Iranian Resistance supporters in Washington, DC called on the international community and the US Government to support the nationwide Iranian protests and adopt a firm policy against the mullahs’ regime.

Iranian Americans from Virginia and Maryland, who gathered outside the US Congress, supported the desire of the Iranian people for regime change, a legitimate demand that people are fighting for it, and they are paying the price for it. The west must respect the will of the Iranian people to overthrow the religious dictatorship ruling Iran.

Freedom-loving Iranians in Washington, DC also honored the memory of Mahsa Amini and the martyrs of the Iran Revolution.

It is worth to mention that Sunday, October 30, 2022, marking the 45th day of the continuous anti-regime protests across Iran.
