December 1, 2022: Thursday, December 1, marked the 77th day of nationwide protests against the Iranian regime, which began on September 16. Iran’s protests have expanded to 277 cities and all 31 provinces across the country.
According to reports gathered by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), the regime has so far killed 680 civilians and arrested 30,000 others. The PMOI/MEK has published the names of 555 killed protesters.

Anti-regime protests at funeral of Mehran Samak (مهران سماک) | December 1, 2022
The people of Bandar Anzali held anti-regime protest rallies at the funeral of Mehran Samak (مهران سماک). Samak was one of millions of Iranians who celebrated the Iranian regime’s loss in World Cup 2022. He was shot by security forces simply for honking his car’s horn.
Truck drivers on strike in Isfahan | December 1, 2022
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the NCRI, sent a message on the truck drivers’ strike and said: “The truck drivers’ strike has spread to more Iran provinces on its 6th day. I urge everyone to assist them since they have stopped work despite difficult living conditions. Poverty, corruption, inflation, and unemployment can be eliminated only with the regime’s overthrow.”
Mrs. Rajavi, also, sent a message on the nationwide uprising of the Iranian people, especially Iranian Revolution martyrs, and said: “I salute Ebrahim Sharifi and Avat Qaderpour in Bukan, Shuresh Niknam in Mahabad, and Mehran Samak in Bandar Anzali, who stood up to the criminal regime and laid down their lives for Iran’s freedom. Their sacrifices will inspire people until the clerical regime is overthrown.”
Mrs. Rajavi in another message about the demand of the Iranian people to expel the mullahs’ regime from the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women because of the misogynist nature of the mullahs, said: “The mullahs’ regime is the enemy of Iranian women and humanity; a disgrace to Iran’s history. It must be ousted from every international seat it occupies under the name of Iran. Mullahs don’t represent Iran as seen, while Iranians celebrated the defeat of the regime’s football team.”
She added: “Once again, I urge the UN, UN Women esp. UNECOSOC and members, to immediately expel the misogynist clerical regime from the UN Commission on the Status of Women (UN_CSW) for its countless crimes against women from 1979 and its continuation today in Iran Protests.”
