Iran Protests Round-Up—Day 78–December 2, 2022

December 2, 2022: Friday, December 2, marked the 78th day of nationwide protests against the Iranian regime, which began on September 16. Iran’s protests have expanded to 279 cities and all 31 provinces across the country.

According to reports gathered by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), the regime has so far killed 680 civilians and arrested 30,000 others. The PMOI/MEK has published the names of 555 killed protesters.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the NCRI, sent a message on the nationwide uprising of the Iranian people and said: “Our Baluch compatriots rose again today in step with the nationwide movement to seek justice for those who laid down their lives for the freedom of Iran. In Zahedan, Zahak, Chabahar, and Iranshahr, they chanted, “Death to Khamenei,” “Death to IRGC,” “Kurds and Baluch are brothers.”

She added: “Today, brave Baluch women emphasized women’s leadership in the battle against the ruling mullahs. In Zahedan, they chanted, “With hijab or without hijab, onward for a revolution.” Women and youths will bring the ultimate destruction of the mullahs’ misogynist dictatorship.”

Mrs. Rajavi, in another message, said: “The Iranian people, especially women, want to overthrow the mullahs because it is the prerequisite to achieve their legitimate demands.”
