Iran Protests Round-Up—Day 82–December 6, 2022

December 6, 2022: Tuesday, December 6, marked the 82nd day of nationwide protests against the Iranian regime, which began on September 16. Iran’s protests have expanded to 280 cities and all 31 provinces across the country.

According to reports gathered by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), the regime has so far killed 700 civilians and arrested 30,000 others. The PMOI/MEK has published the names of 565 killed protesters.

December 6, 2022: Protests and strikes in Isfahan, Ilam, Baneh, Borujen, Abhar, Arak, Ardabil, Bandar Abbas, Bushehr, Tehran, Javanrud, Hajiabad, Divandarreh, Ravansar, Zarrinshahr, Saqqez, Semirom, Sanandaj, Shahin Shahr, Shiraz, Qazvin, Lahijan, Marivan, Malek Shahr, Mahabad, Najafabad, Paveh, Kazerun, Kerman, Kermanshah, Yazd, and Golsar.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the NCRI, sent a message on the nationwide uprising of the Iranian people and said: “On Day 82 of Iran protests, students held protests at universities across Iran; Bazaar merchants went on strikes in most provinces and people commemorated their slain heroes. They showed that the regime and IRGC mercenaries could not overcome the people’s resolve to overthrow them.”

Mrs. Rajavi, in another message, said: “Universities were enchained. Thousands of its students were slain, but they did not surrender. The lessons of resistance and perseverance against reactionary forces were passed on from one generation to the other. And, now, they are at their height.”
