Iran Protests Round-Up—Day 83–December 7, 2022

December 7, 2022: Wednesday, December 7, marked the 83rd day of nationwide protests against the Iranian regime, which began on September 16. Iran’s protests have expanded to 280 cities and all 31 provinces across the country.

According to reports gathered by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), the regime has so far killed 700 civilians and arrested 30,000 others. The PMOI/MEK has published the names of 565 killed protesters.

December 7, 2022: Protests and strikes in Ardakan, Isfahan, Baneh, Bumehen, Bukan, Robat Karim, Sarableh, Sanandaj, Qorveh, Qazvin, Mashhad, Najafabad, Kani Dinar, Gohardasht, Yasuj, Arak, Esfarayen, Isfahan, Izeh, Ilam, Babol, Behbehan, Tabriz, Tehran, Divandarreh, Zahedan, Zarrinshahr, Zarrineh, Sarableh, Saqqez, Shiraz, Fuladshahr, Lahijan, Marivan, Hafshejan, Kamyaran, Kerman, and Kuzar.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the NCRI, sent a message on the nationwide uprising of the Iranian people and said: “The 3rd day of strike by Iran’s Bazaar merchants and businesspersons in most provinces in step with the nationwide student protests and nightly protests in various districts of Tehran and other cities indicate that Iranian people’s strong will shall overcome the ruthless IRGC.”

Mrs. Rajavi, in another message, said: “I salute the courageous university students who rose up today across Iran despite brutal attacks and massive arrests by repressive forces. With chants of “Death to Khamenei,” they seek the criminal mullahs’ overthrow.”
