Toronto, Canaday—February 4, 2023: Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held a demonstration in Toronto’s frigid weather in solidarity with the Iranian people’s uprising.
This demonstration was held after the Iranian Communities Summit in Canada, which Canadian lawmakers, senior Americans, and former Canadian officials attended.
Members of the Iranian community in Toronto expressed their support of the Iranian people and vowed to continue echoing their voices, calling for freedom and democracy in Iran.
Furthermore, freedom-loving Iranians in Toronto demanded the overthrow of the mullahs’ regime. They chanted slogans including, “Death to the oppressor, be it the Shah or a supreme leader[Ali Khamenei]!”
They also urged the international community to stand with the people of Iran and go beyond condemnations by recognizing their rights to self-defense in the face of the regime’s mounting violence.
In their rally, Iranians demanded the Canadian government to Blacklist the IRGC for Its crimes against the Iranian people and terrorist activities in the region.
The MEK supporters also paid tribute to the nationwide uprisings’ martyrs. According to reports tallied by the MEK, over 750 protesters have killed so far.
It is worth to mention that Saturday, February 4, 2023, marked the 142nd day of the continuous anti-regime protests across Iran.
