Iran Protests Round-Up—Day 33–October 18, 2022

October 18, 2022: Tuesday, October 18, marked the 33rd consecutive day of nationwide protests against the Iranian regime, which began on September 16. Iran’s protests have up to now expanded to 193 cities and all 31 provinces across the country.

According to reports gathered by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), the regime has so far killed 400 civilians and arrested 20,000 others. The PMOI/MEK has published the names of 206 killed protesters.

October 18, 2022: Protests in Ahvaz, Tabriz, Tehran, Sanandaj, Shiraz, Qazvin, Piranshahr, Karaj, Rasht, and Mahabad.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi the president-elect of the NCRI sent a message on the nationwide uprising of the Iranian people, and said: “Iran is on the brink of change, and women play a major role in the current uprising against this misogynist regime that denies women’s basic rights.”

Mrs. Rajavi in another message said: “With their strikes oil and petrochemical workers in Mahshahr, Asaluyeh, Abadan, Kangan, Bandar Abbas and Haft Tapeh Sugarcane factory joined the nationwide Iran protests, showing the legitimate demands of the Iranian people will only be realized via the overthrow of the clerical regime”
