Washington, DC: Photo Exhibition, and Rally in Front of the US Congress to Support the Iran Protests

Washington, DC—November 4, 2022: Iranian-American community and supporters of the Iranian Resistance (NCRI and MEK) held a photo exhibition and Candlelight Vigil outside the US Capitol, marking the 50th day of the nationwide Iran protests.

Thousands of images cover nearly 40 years of sacrifice by the people of Iran for the cause of a Democratic Iranian Republic.

Organization of Iranian American Communities (OIAC), which organized this exhibition, said: ”It is time for the US to recognize the right of the people of Iran for self-defense and Regime Change.”

Also, freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) continue to sit-in and rally outside the US Congress to support the nationwide Iranian people’s uprising.

The primary demand of the sit-ins in front of the Congress is to change the dictatorial regime in Iran by the Iranian people and to recognize the Iranian people’s right to defend themselves against the brutal repression of the mullahs’ regime.

Iranian Resistance supporters in Washington, DC called on the international community and the US Government to support the nationwide Iranian protests and adopt a firm policy against the mullahs’ regime.

Iranian Americans from Virginia and Maryland, who gathered outside the US Congress, supported the desire of the Iranian people for regime change, a legitimate demand that people are fighting for it, and they are paying the price for it. The west must respect the will of the Iranian people to overthrow the religious dictatorship ruling Iran.

Freedom-loving Iranians in Washington, DC also honored the memory of Mahsa Amini and the martyrs of the Iran Revolution.

It is worth to mention that Friday, November 4, 2022, marking the 50th day of the continuous anti-regime protests across Iran.
