Washington, DC—December 17, 2022: Iranian-American community members and Iranian Resistance supporters (NCRI and MEK) held a significant demonstration supporting the nationwide Iranian people uprising. This demonstration was held after the conference’s successful holding: “Washington Summit Iran Uprising Prospects & Correct Policy Options.”
It is worth noting that on Saturday, December 17, a conference was held in solidarity with the nationwide Iran uprising. The event, organized by the Organization of the Iranian-American Communities (OIAC), also featured Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), as its keynote speaker. Prominent American political figures participated in this conference.
After the summit, Iranian Americans marched in Washington, DC, and took to the streets to support the Iran Revolution.
Iranian Americans called for a US policy that pressured the mullahs and supported the Iranian people’s aspiration for a democratic Iranian republic.
They chanted slogans, including: “Down with terrorist regime in Iran, regime change in Iran now, now, now”.
Moreover, Iranian Resistance supporters in the significant rally announced:
“Our message to policymakers: Recognize the Iranian people’s right to overthrow the religious fascists ruining the world today = democratic regime change”.
“Our community will continue to support the Iranian people and their organized resistance (NCRI)—which has been spearheading the chants of “down with Khamenei-Khomeini” and “regime change” since 1982. Chants we now hear all over Iranian Revolution”.
“The Iranian people accept no single-party rule in Iran. Neither the Shah of the past nor of predator mullahs. Regime change followed by people’s governance through the ballot box is the only answer they will accept”.
