The Joint Statement of Nine Canadian MPs, Condemning the Repression of Protesters and the Continuous Violation of Human Rights by the Iranian Regime

December 31, 2022: In a joint statement, nine Canadian MPs from the province of British Columbia condemned the violation of human rights and issuing death sentences to the detainees of the nationwide protests by the mullahs’ regime.

They announced that they take responsibility for the political support of a list of detainees under threat by the Iranian regime.

They added that as members of the Canadian Parliament, they remind the Iranian regime that they are watching, and the world is watching. Furthermore, they condemn the regime’s ongoing human rights violations, threats against individual freedoms, and regional peace and security.

The Iranian regime’s brutal violence against people, especially women and girls, continues unabated and is getting worse, Canadian MPs continued. So far, tens of thousands of people have been arrested for protesting gross human rights violations, and hundreds of people, including countless children, have been killed.

The Canadian representatives warned the Iranian regime that they do not give any credit to the mock trials, false and self-made accusations, and the lack of legal representation for the people in custody.
