Gothenburg, Sweden: Commemoration of the Anniversary of the Epic of February 8, 1982, the Martyrdom of MEK Leaders

Gothenburg, Sweden—February 8, 2023: Freedom-loving Iranians, supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held a rally commemorating senior leaders of the MEK, Mousa Khiabani, and Ashraf Rajavi, killed by the Iranian regime Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) on February 8, 1982. Both were political prisoners before the 1979 revolution.

Also, freedom-loving Iranians expressed solidarity with the nationwide Iranian Revolution.

The Iranian community in Gothenburg expressed its support for their compatriots who rising against religious dictatorship and pledged to continue to call for freedom and democracy in Iran.

Additionally, MEK supporters honored the martyrs of the nationwide uprisings. According to MEK reports, over 750 protesters have been killed so far.

It is worth to mention that Wednesday, February 8, 2023, marked the 146th day of the continuous anti-regime protests across Iran.
