Canada—October 7, 2023: Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held rallies in Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver in solidarity with the Iran Revolution.
Iranian communities in Ottawa, Toronto, and Vancouver have called on the Canadian government to designate the IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) as a terrorist organization. Iranian Resistance supporters, on the eve of the World Day Against the Death Penalty, condemned the wave of executions in Iran by the mullahs’ regime. They also denounced the brutal attacks on women, including beatings and the poisoning of schoolgirls, by the mullahs’ regime.
MEK supporters in Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver demanded the trial of the mullahs’ regime leaders, especially Ali Khamenei (Supreme leader of the mullahs’ regime) and the mass murderer Ebrahim Raisi for crimes against humanity, in an international court.
The Iranian community in Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver emphasized the Iranian people seeking a democratic republic and rejecting any kind of dictatorship, be it the mullahs or a return to that of Shah’s regime.
In addition, the Iranian Resistance supporters in Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver urged the international community to support the Iran Revolution and take a firm stance against the oppressive regime of the mullahs.
They asked the international community to recognize the right of self-defense of the Iranian people against the religious dictatorship.
