MEK Supporters in Zurich Hold Exhibition to Condemn Iranian Regime’s Violence Against Women

Zurich, Switzerland—November 25, 2024

Zurich, Switzerland—November 25, 2024:  Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held an exhibition to condemn the Iranian regime’s ongoing crimes against women. The event also highlighted their solidarity with the ongoing Iranian Revolution.

The exhibition, held to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, served as both a commemoration and a call to action. Protesters honored the women who have suffered and perished under the brutalities of both the Shah‘s dictatorship and the mullahs’ theocratic regime. Photographs of victims, stories of resistance, and the names of women political prisoners were displayed prominently, weaving a narrative of resilience amidst oppression.

Participants at the event shone a spotlight on the plight of women in Iran, particularly political prisoners subjected to torture and harassment. They denounced the Iranian regime’s systematic use of violence as a tool to silence dissent and perpetuate control.

MEK supporters in Zurich emphasized that women have been at the forefront of the fight for freedom and justice, with their sacrifices igniting movements that refuse to be extinguished. They particularly highlighted the role of women members of the MEK Resistance Units within Iran and their courage and dedication in the struggle against the mullahs’ regime, describing them as role models for women’s resistance in Iran with the slogan “Woman, Resistance, Freedom.”

Iranians in Zurich called on the international community to support Iranian women’s struggle against the brutal oppression and exploitation imposed on them by the mullahs’ regime.
