Cologne, Germany – February 25, 2025: Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held protest and public demonstration to condemn the Iranian regime’s escalating use of executions as a tool of repression. They condemned the death sentences of political prisoners affiliated with the PMOI, particularly Behrouz Ehsani and Mehdi Hassani, who face imminent execution. Protesters also called for the immediate release of all political prisoners.
Participants in Cologne rally called for German government to hold Tehran accountable for its crimes against humanity. They also urged the European Union to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization and to shut down Iranian regime embassies, which they accused of facilitating espionage and repression abroad.
Organizers of the rally in Cologne reaffirmed their commitment to establishing a democratic republic, rejecting all forms of dictatorship, whether under the current mullahs’ regime or a return to the the Shah’s rule.
They also called for international recognition of the Iranian people’s resistance and their right—along with the MEK Resistance Units inside Iran—to defend themselves in their struggle against tyranny and dictatorship.
