The 74th Week of the “No to Execution Tuesdays” Campaign: Voices from 47 Iranian Prisons

The 74th Week of the No to Execution Tuesdays Campaign in 47 Iran’s Prisons

Statement for the 74th Week of the “No to Execution Tuesdays” Campaign – Issued by Political Prisoners in 47 Prisons Across Iran

In the 73rd week of the “No to Executions Tuesdays” campaign, we warned that war and execution are two sides of the same coin—tools used by regimes to suppress and kill. We cautioned that the lives of prisoners were in danger and that a rise in executions was likely. Unfortunately, despite the regime’s internet blackout, the reports that have emerged confirm that our fears were well-founded.

We express our deep concern about the conditions of prisoners—particularly those in Evin Prison and those sentenced to death, whose status and whereabouts remain unclear. We strongly condemn the sudden, forced transfers of defenseless inmates under oppressive and security-driven circumstances.

Given the ongoing wartime conditions, prisoners’ lives are in serious jeopardy. We call upon the noble and kind people of Iran to take action in every possible way to demand the release of prisoners. In particular, we urge you not to leave prisoners alone during these perilous times and to gather in front of prisons as a show of solidarity and support.

For the 74th week of the “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign, on Tuesday, June 25, political prisoners in the following 47 prisons will be on hunger strike:
