On Tuesday, July 8, 2025, protest activities were held in over 20 cities across Iran as part of the “No to Executions Tuesdays” campaign. These actions included photo calls, poster installations, and street demonstrations focused on anti-execution slogans and support for political prisoners.
These activities are part of a nationwide campaign by the Resistance Units of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) and the freedom-loving people of Iran, standing against the wave of executions, systematic repression, and widespread human rights violations by the clerical regime. They symbolize an “uprising for freedom” and the “ultimate sacrifice” in the pursuit of a democratic and secular republic in Iran.
In the city of Estahban, collective chants such as “Death to Khamenei– Curse on Khomeini – Hail to Rajavi – Hail to the National Liberation Army of Iran” were heard, reflecting solidarity with the Iranian Resistance and a rejection of the ruling theocracy.
In cities including Karaj, Mashhad, Tabriz, Sari, Rasht, Shahroud, Gorgan, Babolsar, Lahijan, Zanjan, Jiroft, Torbat Heydariyeh, Yazd, Ilam, Gonbad-e Kavus, Nahavand, Hamedan, Zahedan, Fasa, Jahrom, and Sonqor, photo calls and posters were displayed with slogans such as “Political Prisoners Must Be Freed” and “No to Execution.”
In Zahedan, alongside an image of Simay Azadi (INTV), a powerful anti-theocratic slogan resonated: “Death to the oppressor, whether Shah or mullah.”
In Fasa, images of political prisoners sentenced to death—including Vahid Bani-Amerian, Pouya Ghobadi, Babak Alipour, Shahrokh Daneshvarkar, Abolhassan Montazer, and Mohammad Taghavi—were displayed with the slogan “Political Prisoners Must Be Freed.”
