Oslo, Norway – August 16, 2025 – Supporters of the Iranian Resistance gathered outside the Norwegian Parliament in Oslo to raise the alarm over the imminent execution of five political prisoners in Iran: Vahid Bani-Amerian, Pouya Ghobadi, Shahrokh Daneshvarkar, Mohammad Taghavi, and Babak Alipour. The Iranian regime has transferred them to Ghezel Hesar Prison, a facility notorious for mass executions, putting their lives in grave danger.
Protesters in Oslo chanted: “Overthrow the mullahs’ regime through the Iranian people and Resistance! No to war, no to appeasement, and yes to the ‘Third Option’ proposed by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the NCRI, and her Ten-Point Plan for a democratic republic in Iran.”
Demonstrators expressed unwavering support for the PMOI Resistance Units inside Iran and reaffirmed their commitment to a democratic republic, rejecting both theocracy and monarchy .
They called for:
-
The complete abolition of the death penalty in Iran;
-
The immediate and unconditional release of all political prisoners;
-
International recognition of the Iranian people’s right to resist tyranny.
Freedom-loving Iranians in Oslo also backed Mrs. Rajavi’s call to expand participation in the “No to Executions” campaign.
This rally stood as a powerful act of defiance against Iran’s ongoing human rights violations, the alarming surge in executions, and the broader repression of dissent. Participants urged international accountability and justice for the victims of state violence.
