Free Iran Convention 2025 Sets Out Roadmap for a Democratic, Secular Future

Free Iran Convention 2025, Washington, DC – November 15, 2025

A Gathering Focused on Iran’s Democratic Future

The Free Iran Convention 2025 brought together Iranian scholars, activists, professionals, and community leaders. The event presented a clear vision for ending dictatorship in Iran and building a democratic, secular, and non-nuclear republic.
This full-day convention was streamed live and included speakers from across the United States, as well as several international dignitaries.

Soona Samsami, the U.S. Representative of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), delivered the opening remarks. She emphasized the urgency of supporting the Iranian people’s movement for freedom.

Key Panels on Change, Women’s Leadership, and Transition Plans

The program featured four main panels. Each one focused on a different pillar of Iran’s struggle for democratic change.

Panel 1 explained why Iranian society has reached a breaking point. Speakers described how political and economic pressures have made fundamental change unavoidable.

Panel 2 highlighted the central role of Iranian women. Their decades of resistance and leadership during recent protests were presented as driving forces for national transformation.

Panel 3 outlined a practical plan for a peaceful transition from clerical rule. The panel introduced steps needed to form a democratic, secular, and republican government.

Panel 4 focused on Iran’s young generation. Their vision, courage, and influence were highlighted as essential for shaping Iran’s political future.

Voices from Inside Iran and International Support

A special segment called “The Heart of Iran in Revolt” shared messages from people inside Iran. These stories showed courage, resilience, and hope despite repression.

The program also included a Distinguished Dialogue on rebuilding Iran’s institutions and economy after democratic change. In addition, A Scholar’s Vision for Tomorrow offered long-term ideas for justice, recovery, and national progress.

The convention ended with Transatlantic Perspectives. U.S. and European dignitaries discussed global support for the Iranian people and the importance of a peaceful, democratic Iran for international stability.
