Iranians in Bucharest Hold Exhibition Honoring 2019 Uprising Martyrs, Condemning Executions

Bucharest, Romania — November 17, 2025

Bucharest, Romania — November 17, 2025: An exhibition was held in Bucharest by supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) to honor the 1500 martyrs of the nationwide Iranian uprisings in November 2019 (Aban 98), the 2022 protests, and political prisoners—especially those executed by the mullahs’ regime this year and those still at risk of execution.

The exhibition also protested the rising wave of executions carried out by the Iranian regime and called for the immediate release of all political prisoners held in the regime’s prisons.

Iranians in Bucharest underscored their people’s desire for a democratic republic and their rejection of any form of dictatorship, whether under the mullahs’ regime or a return to the monarchical rule. They stressed the need to recognize the Resistance Units and the right of the Iranian people to defend themselves in their struggle against tyranny.

The Iranian community specifically demanded that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) be designated as a terrorist organization and urged stronger actions from the Romanian government against the Iranian regime.
