Cologne – April 4, 2026: Supporters of the Iranian Resistance gathered in Cologne to protest the executions of six political prisoners: Mohammad Taghavi, Akbar Daneshvar Kar, Babak Alipour, Pouya Ghobadi, Vahid Bani-Amerian, and Abolhassan Montazer, who were affiliated with the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). Demonstrators denounced the actions of Iran’s ruling establishment, describing the executions as a grave violation of human rights.

Participants called for regime change in Iran and urged the German government to adopt a firmer stance against Tehran. Protesters emphasized the need for international accountability and stronger measures to address ongoing repression inside the country.

The rally featured speeches and placards highlighting the plight of political prisoners in Iran, as well as calls for global solidarity to stop executions.

Maryam Rajavi Calls for International Accountability

Following the execution of Vahid Bani-Amerian and Abolhassan Montazer on April 4, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi condemned the killings and called for urgent international action. She urged the global community to hold Iranian authorities accountable and to take decisive steps against ongoing human rights violations, emphasizing the need to support the Iranian people and their organized resistance.
