Kazerun ,protesters
At Kazeruun the streets leading to the main square, called Kheyrat Square has been surrounded by security forces and anti-riot guards. But the protesters have been gathering in separate groups and have set tires on fire. The guards fired tear gas to the protesters but they are still in the streets.
According to the network of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI, MEK) inside the country:
The city is tense again. The streets leading to the main square, called Kheyrat Square has been surrounded by security forces and anti-riot guards. But the protesters have been gathering in separate groups and have set tires on fire. The guards fired tear gas to the protesters but they are still in the streets.
A number of students of the Amirkabir University in Tehran expressed their solidarity with the protesters in Kazeroun. Part of their statement read: “Subsequent to violent suppression of peaceful protest of defenseless people of Kazeroun by the suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic that resulted in a number of the people being killed and wounded, the students of Amirkabir University of Technology (formerly Tehran Polytechnic) declare solidarity with the popular and progressive movement of the people against the dictatorship and suppressive rule of the Islamic Republic.”
