Wednesday’s Iran Mini Report – April.17, 2018

• Iran: Protest of plundered victims of non-authorized entities at the Stock Exchange exhibition

TEHRAN, Wednesday April 18, a number of plundered creditors of some of the financial and credit institutions expressed their protests at the exhibion of the Bank and Insurance companies.

Protesters gahtered in Tehran International Fair and chanted “we have been betrayed”, “the money you hold is all our assets.”

One of the other slogans of the protesters in the protest was “to cover thier deficit, they took our money”, “Our money is our right; it’s the result of our lifetime.”

• KAZERUN, Iran, Apr. 18, People protest against regime’s decision to separate parts of the city

On Wednesday, Apr. 18, residents of Kazerun, southern Iran, protested for the Third consecutive day against the decision by the regime to seperate parts of the city.

They chanted: “America Is Not The Enemy – The Enemy Is Right Here” it is worthy of note that on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, also thousands of people demonstrated in the city’s main square and bazaaris and merchants refused to open their shops. The protesters were chanting, “Our enemy is right here, but they keep saying it is America,” “No fear, we are all together,” “the movement will continue until we obtain our rights,” “dignified Kazeruni, don’t accept humiliation.” The protests, in which women played an active role, led to clashes with the security forces as the protesters tried to enter the Governor’s Office.

• Iranian regime continues to publish false news

The UAE’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Anwar al-Gargash, said on Wednesday that “false news against the UAE and Saudi Arabia continue to surface from Iranian sources.”
Making the statement via his personal twitter handle, Gargash said: “Such news emanate from places such as the FARS news agency or other newspapers.”

• UAE Armed Forces intercept Iranian plane loaded with explosives

ADEN, 18th April, 2018 (WAM) — The UAE Armed Forces’ Anti-aircraft defence unit was able to intercept an Iranian Qassef-1 aircraft loaded with explosives in attempt to strike strategic positions of the Yemeni Forces, supported by the Arab Coalition on Yemen’s Red Sea Coast.Upon examining the aircraft, military defence teams discovered a large quantity of explosive materials intended to be used against the Yemeni force.

• 2 Dead in Chopper Crash in Southern Iran

An Iranian helicopter has gone down in the south of the country, leaving two people dead and two missing.

One person also survived the incident, which happened Tuesday night when a chopper belonging to the Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) crashed into the Persian Gulf waters.
The helicopter was taking a patient from one of the IOOC’s oil platforms to hospital, but went down shortly after takeoff.
