Maryam Rajavi

Maryam Rajavi Meets U.S. President’s Attorney, Rudy Giuliani

Friday, June 29, 2018 – Maryam Rajavi met this evening with Rudy Giuliani, attorney to the President of the United States. The meeting took place at the office of the National Council of Resistance of Iran in Paris on the eve of the Iranian Resistance’s annual grand gathering.

They discussed the latest developments in Iran including the expansion of popular protests against the clerical regime in Tehran and other Iranian cities as well as the regime’s fragile condition.

Rudy Giuliani, “My Strong opinion is that the alternative is the National Council of Resistance of Iran under the leadership of Maryam Rajavi.”

Free Iran Gathering: We Should Support Iran People’s Desire for Regime Change

The Free Iran Gathering, organised by the main Iranian opposition, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), kicked off today in Paris, with a panel entitled “Iran: Prospect for Change”, where six distinguished politicians and media personalities came to the decision that supporting the Iranian people should be the policy of the international community.

The panel, chaired by Ambassador Lincoln Bloomfield, kicked off at 11 am local time with a discussion about the fraudulent nuclear deal, which Donald Trump withdrew from in May, and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s list of 12 demands for a new nuclear deal with Iran.

Bloomfield noted that no one on the panel was advocating military action, only support for the Iranian people and their resistance, along with diplomatic measures.

Free Iran Gathering: How to Deal With IRGC, Support Iran Opposition

It should be no secret that the Iranian Regime is responsible for most of the woes of the Middle East, which is why the second panel of the FreeIran Gathering in Paris, organised by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), was dedicated to Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) and their meddling in the region.

Sulami laid out a strategy to counteract the regime:

1. Legal confrontation through international legal organizations against the regime’s political system and especially IRGC.

2. Economic confrontation; the IRGC does business under many different names, which need to be identified.

3. Military confrontation: When fighting terrorist organizations, do not differentiate between Shiite and Sunni groups who are backed by the regime.

4. Exchange intelligence between governments about the Iranian regime’s activities.

Yves Thréard, the deputy editor for Le Figaro, advised that others also withdraw from the nuclear deal.

He said: ”After the withdrawals of the USA from the nuclear agreement,…. the danger does not come from Trump but precisely from Tehran with the policy led by the regime of the mullahs. If this nuclear agreement is maintained, the fruits of this trade do not benefit the Iranian people, but serve to strengthen the regime.”

Free Iran Gathering: How to Deal With IRGC, Support Iran Opposition

The Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) was the major subject of today’s third panel at the FreeIran Gathering in Paris, hosted by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), with the panellists discussing how best to put pressure on the IRGC.

Joseph agreed.

He said: “We need to work with the Iranian people and the Iran opposition outside of Iran who are determined to get a free and democratic Iran.”

Free Iran Gathering: Support NCRI and MEK

The fourth panel at today’s FreeIran Gathering in Paris, hosted by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), shone a light on the ongoing Iranian uprising and the Iran Opposition.

Also on the panel were John Baird, former Foreign Minister of Canada, Louis Freeh, former Director of the FBI, and Yves Bonnet, former Governor and Head of France’s Internal Security Service (D.S.T.).
