Rouhani’s Government Struggling With A New Scandal: Illegal Car Imports

Nearly 6,000 foreign-made vehicles were illegally ordered between July 19 and December 30, 2017, while the Industry Ministry’s official website for registration of vehicle import requests was hacked and not functioning at the time.

Officially approved imports receive subsidized foreign currency from the state and that opens the door to various corruption schemes.

In the meantime, Iran’s Central Bank on July 1 published the names of 1,500 companies and individuals who received millions of dollars at the government rate of 42,000 rials and mostly offered their goods at the free market rate, which is almost double (on the free market, one dollar is offered for 83,000 rials).

French shipping firm CMA CGM ends Iran ops due to U.S. sanctions threat

AIX-EN-PROVENCE, France (Reuters) – French shipping group CMA CGM has decided to pull out of Iran following the Trump administration’s decision to renew sanctions on companies operating in the country, its chief executive said on Saturday.

Some other big shipping companies like A.P. Moller-Maersk have already said they would halt business ahead of a reimposition of sanctions following the United States’ decision to pull out of the 2015 Iran nuclear accord.

Execution of Eight Individuals Aimed at Covering Disclosed Terrorist Scandal Against Grand Gathering of Iranians in France

This morning, the religious and terrorist dictatorship ruling Iran hurriedly executed eight individuals under the guise of association with ISIS in order to overshadow its growing domestic and internationally scandal due to the exposure of its terrorist and criminal attempt against the Grand Gathering of Iranians in France.

The Iranian regime’s attempt for bombing amongst innocent people in France is exactly similar to ISIS operations; however, after one of its diplomat-terrorist and other terrorists were arrested while carrying explosives, it is trying to pretend being away from ISIS with these executions at this specific juncture.

Iran Protests in Borazjan With Chants of ‘Death to the Dictator’

On July 7, 2018, residents of Borazjan, a city in Iran’s southern province of Bushehr, took to the streets to protest against water scarcity. The protesters gathered in the Hospital Square of this city and chanted ‘Death to the Dictator’.

The demonstrators who continued their protests till after midnight forced the so-called Friday prayers’ leader to run away from the people.

The furious demonstrators also chanted:

‘Our enemy is right here. They’re lying when they say it’s America.’

‘We don’t want an incompetent government.’

‘Leave Syria alone. Think of us instead.’

Iranian teen detained over Instagram dance videos

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran has detained a teenager who posted dance videos on Instagram and attracted tens of thousands of followers.

State TV broadcast a video on Friday in which Maedeh Hojabri, 18, acknowledged breaking moral norms while insisting that was not her intention. It was unclear whether her statement was made under duress.
