Iranian Resistance Supporters Attend a Rally Outside the White House to Condemn the Execution of Navid Afkari
Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/ MEK)and the National Council of Resistance of Iran(NCRI), members of the Organization of Iranian American Communities(OIAC) in Washington D.C. held a rally on Saturday evening, September 12, to protest the execution of Navid Afkari, Iranian wrestling champion by the criminal Mullahs’ regime.
They demand to holding Iran’s regime accountable for murder of Navid Afkari and other crimes against humanity.
Silence and inaction give a green light to and are considered as complicity in these crimes.
OIAC said in a statement:
The shocking news on the secrete execution of Navid Afkari in the city of Shiraz, after months of horrific torture and forced “confession”, should serve as another reminder that the cruel and barbaric regime of Iran must go. In the early hours of September 12, the Iranian regime killed the 27-year-old wrestling champion, Navid Afkari, without any notification to his lawyer or family members.
The statement continues:
Navid’s execution highlights the following for the world leaders:
- Ongoing executions in Iran is a direct result of impunity and silence by the world community. It is time to cut all diplomatic ties and isolate the regime in its entirety. European countries must recall their ambassador from Iran to register their condemnation over the ongoing executions there.
- No amount of negotiations and talks will change the behavior of the regime in Iran. The mullahs have no legitimacy and do not represent the people of Iran. It is time to end all talks and negotiations with the mullahs in Iran.
- Iran’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, Iran’s President, Hassan Rouhani, and his entire cabinet must be held accountable for their ongoing crimes against humanity. The criminal Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corp (IRGC) must be disband and disabled in promoting any further violence at home.
Also in the other capitals, in Europe and America, including Germany and Canada were filled with furious Iranians wanting justice done on behalf of their fellow compatriots being tortured and executed by the ruthless regime.
Germany: This is Germany, Iranians campaign for executions to end in Iran. They say, damning Navid’s killing isn’t enough. Regime in Iran must be brought to account. UNGA has responsibility on 18 Sept.
