Report of this rally as follows:

On October 1, 2020, Iranians freedom lovers and supporters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran gathered in front of the EU headquarter in Brussels in Place de Luxembourg from 14:00 to 15:30. At the same time a meeting was held in the EU parliament. The Friends of the Free Iran (FOFI) in the European Parliament, focused on the “correct policy” and the “political and ethical obligations” for European nations in the face of “ongoing crimes against humanity.” Accordingly, it featured approximately three dozen members of the European Parliament, from different political groups who took a critical view of the current EU policy on Iran.

The demonstrators joined the conference online and listened to speeches by Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran. Then, Mr. Sourosh Aboutalebi, director of the Iranian Democratic Student Association in Belgium gave his speech pointing on the increasing number of executions inside Iran.

Afterwards, Mr. Mark Demesmaeker a Belgian Senator and a former Belgian MP gave his speech in support of democracy and freedom in Iran. Robabe Roustaie, a partisan of The Organization of Iranian People’s Fedai Guerrillas, a member party of the National Council of Resistance of Iran raised attention towards the women rights violations in Iran.

Mr. Serge de Patul from the committee of Belgian Parliamentarians and Mayors for a Democratic Iran expressed his feelings towards the people of Iran and their fight for freedom, he also declared how the torture and execution inside Iran will become terrorism in Europe. The next speaker was Father Danial who prayed for all martyrs in Iran.

A reporter from VRT joined the event and made an interview with Dr. Masoud Kashefi. He declared that the continuation of the appeasement policy in Europe towards Iran lead to more executions in Iran; he also added that the execution of Navid Afkari touched our hearts but it was not the first time and it will not be the last if EU does not take a firm position.

This event got reported by Belga News Agency and HLN, and EU reporter too.
