“Most people can’t afford basic goods necessary for healthy living, such as meat,” state-run daily Mardom Salari warns. “The consumption of these goods is at its lowest level in recent years,” the daily added. “The quality of life for many people is at the lowest possible level,” Mardom Salari warns. The food basket of a family of four costs at least 120 million rials, Mardom Salari writes.
