Washington, May 5, 2018 – A bi Partisan support for the 2018 Iran Freedom Convention was announced at the Iranian gathering in Washington. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, the chairwoman of subcommittee on the Middle East and North Africa said in her message to the convention: “..You are here and you continue to be the voice of Iranian people, now together with the people marching in Iran..”
Also in a message to the convention, Rep Lacy Clay, Democrat from MO said in his message: “I will continue to stand with you and the brave Iranian people who are destined to be free.”
At the convention also Rep McClintock (R-CA) sent his message: “The growing street protests across Iran makes it obvious that the desire and will of the Iranian people is for a free, open and democratic government”
And Rep Cohen (D-TN) said: “As the Co-Chair of the Congressional Iran Human Rights and Democracy Caucus, it is an honor to greet you today. I strongly support a Iran that is democratic, secular, and non-nuclear.”
Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas ( D-TX) sent her message to the convention of the Iranian American in Washington: “Congratulations on your 2018 Iran Freedom Convention…The Organization of Iranian American Communities (OIAC) has been stalwart in advocating for world peace and security”
“…Please know that you have friends and supporters in the US Congress, willing to work toward peace and stability in Iran…” Congressman Eliot Engel (D-NY) said.
And Rep. Ileana Ros Lehtinen (R-FL) said: “…You are here and you continue to be the voice of Iranian people, now together with the people marching in Iran…”
