Friends of a Free Iran and Against Fundamentalism in Nordic Countries have issued a resolute denouncement of the brutal executions carried out by the Iranian regime. They express their profound indignation regarding the recent execution of three protesters, namely Saleh Mirhashemi, Saeed Yaqoubi, and Majid Kazemi, who were sentenced to death under Khamenei‘s command in Isfahan.
These executions, which have occurred despite widespread national and international appeals for mercy, have prompted a deep concern over the regime’s disconcerting pattern of repression and violence. Disturbingly, within the last month alone, a staggering total of 112 prisoners have met the same fate.
In light of these grave circumstances, the statement implores the United Nations, the European Union, and member states to strongly condemn these executions and to promptly implement effective measures aimed at compelling the regime to cease its cycle of arrests, torture, and executions.

Urgent Call for International Action:
Condemning the Iranian Regime’s Wave of Executions
We condemn in the strongest terms the executions of three prisoners of the uprising, namely Saleh Mirhashemi, Saeed Yaqoubi, and Majid Kazemi, which were carried out this Friday morning on the orders of Khamenei in Isfahan despite national and international calls.
The clerical regime, unable to rule a day without repression and torture, has executed 112 prisoners in less than a month. We call on the UN, the European Union, and member states to condemn the wave of executions and take immediate and effective measures to force the clerical regime to stop the cycle of arrests, torture, and executions.
In addition, diplomatic and economic measures should be considered to exert pressure on the Iranian regime to reform its oppressive policies. Sanctions targeted at key individuals and entities involved in human rights abuses can serve as a deterrent and demonstrate that the international community stands in solidarity with the Iranian people.
While these executions serve as an absolute reminder of the regime’s disregard for human rights and their determination to cling to power at any cost, it is important to recognize that it has not deterred the Iranian people in their quest for freedom, justice, and democratic reforms.
The international community, including governments and the United Nations, must seize this moment to hold the Iranian regime and its leaders accountable for their actions. The gross violation of human rights should not go unnoticed or unpunished. The governments of the world must unite in their condemnation of these executions and put pressure on the Iranian regime to respect the fundamental rights and freedoms of its citizens.
