Norwegian Parliament Majority Joins Global Campaign Supporting Maryam Rajavi’s Ten-Point Plan

A majority of Norwegian parliamentarians have issued a joint statement backing Mrs. Maryam Rajavi’s Ten-Point Plan, urging the terrorist designation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and recognizing the MEK Resistance Units‘ rights to oppose the IRGC. This aligns with principles from the 1951 Geneva Convention and the European Convention on Human Rights, defending the rights of Ashraf-3 residents in Albania.

Among the signatories are 10 former ministers, three deputy speakers of parliament, heads of three parliamentary committees, 10 deputy committee chairs, and nine heads and deputy heads of parliamentary groups. Their statement highlights a robust, broad-based commitment within Norway’s political leadership to address the Iranian regime’s human rights abuses and destabilizing actions.

The Norwegian parliamentarians urged all democratic governments, particularly in Europe, to support Maryam Rajavi’s Ten-Point Plan, which calls for a democratic republic in Iran based on the separation of religion and state and gender equality. The statement condemns the Iranian regime’s repressive measures against dissidents, especially those in Ashraf-3, who have been targeted by terrorist acts, demonization campaigns, and sham trials in Tehran.

The statement emphasizes Tehran’s notorious human rights record, recalling the 1988 massacre where 30,000 political prisoners were executed on the orders of former Supreme Leader Ruhollah Khomeini. The parliamentarians denounce these ongoing crimes against humanity, especially the suppression of women, and call for accountability for those responsible for the 1988 atrocities.

With the Iranian regime blocking all avenues for peaceful political change, the Norwegian parliamentarians assert that the international community must recognize the Iranian people’s right to rise up and the MEK Resistance Units‘ right to confront the IRGC.

The statement also condemns the Iranian regime’s destructive policies in the Middle East, including support for terrorism and attacks on commercial shipping. They call for the IRGC to be designated as a terrorist organization, emphasizing the regime’s threat to regional and global peace and security.
