Iran\u2019s Revolutionary Guards onward to hell<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By designating Iran\u2019s Revolutionary\nGuards<\/a> as a foreign terrorist organization\nby the US, the Iran regime received a heavier blow than what it received from\nthe withdrawal of US from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in\nlast May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the beginning of its establishment, Iran\u2019s Revolutionary\nGuards become the armed wing of the regime and the main mean of the Velayat-e Faqih\nfor exporting terrorism abroad and for domestic suppression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By a full\nsupport, Khamenei gave the Iran\u2019s Revolutionary Guards a free hand to plunder\nthe country\u2019s wealth and to form a state within a state. The Iran\u2019s\nRevolutionary Guards answers only to the Supreme Leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Khamenei\u2019s\nexclusive power of appointing poppet commanders<\/a> of\nIran\u2019s Revolutionary Guards gives him an ace up his sleeve in the regime\u2019s internal\npower\nstruggle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is\nnotable that, Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, known as the no.2 figure of the\nregime, having a key role in appointing Khamenei as the Supreme Leader did not\nsucceed in regime\u2019s internal power struggle, and finally his dead body was\nfound in a swimming pool. Some relate this death to the Iran\u2019s Revolutionary Guards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another example of Iran\u2019s Revolutionary Guards dominance within the regime is Rouhani\u2019s complaint, following Zarif\u2019s resignation<\/a>. He complained about the Iran\u2019s Revolutionary Guards\u2019 actions and their interference in his administration\u2019s affairs; another showcase of power struggle within the regime. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indeed,\nKhatami, Rouhani and the so-called reformist faction within the clerical\nregime, act as fronts for the militarist regime ruling Iran. This play beguiles\nno one in the international community anymore. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designating Iran\u2019s Revolutionary Guards as an FTO\nby the U.S. has changed the regime\u2019s main tool of survival into its Achilles\nheels and the regime is on the horns of a dilemma over how to respond to the\nUS. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The <\/strong>impact\nof blacklisting Iran\u2019s Revolutionary\nGuards<\/a><\/strong> on Velayat-e faqih\u2019s regime<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides suppressing the opponents in\nIran and carrying out regime\u2019s foreign belligerent policy, Iran\u2019s Revolutionary\nGuards has the lion\u2019s share of the national economy. The Iran\u2019s Revolutionary\nGuards carries out its financial activities via possessing more than 1,000\nmanufacturing companies, financial and contracting institutions. By founding\nnumerous ports, the IRGC is involved in smuggling goods as well as conducting extensive\nforeign trade activities. Once Ahmadinejad, the former regime\u2019s president,\nadmitted to the IRGC\u2019s illegal activities and openly called them \u201csmuggler brothers\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the pretext of privatization and economic reform,\nKhamenei granted a huge part of the government assets to Iran\u2019s revolutionary\nguards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By designating the Iran\u2019s Revolutionary Guards as an FTO<\/a>, all its economic sectors, especially its foreign trade, is targeted by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Department of the Treasury. The Iran\u2019s Revolutionary Guards\u2019 trade counterparts are well aware of the consequences and likely, will not take the great risk of trading with a terrorist entity.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover,\nIran\u2019s Revolutionary Guards commanders will have a lot of trouble with\ntraveling abroad.\u00a0 After the looting role\nof the IRGC in constructing non-standard structures was\nrevealed, the price of which the Iranian people are paying\u00a0 \u00a0by their lives and assets in the most\nrecent floods,\u00a0 this malevolent force will\nbe targeted by the public wrath more than before. Therefore, Khamenei has lost\nall his investment in Iran\u2019s Revolutionary Guards, as the most reliable force of\nsurvival of his regime.
