The US\u2019s blacklisting IRGC and its eventual consequences captured the headlines last week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A turning point designation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The formal announcement of blacklisting the IRGC, the first-ever in its kind, and its coming into effect is a significant development. Although blacklisting IRGC<\/a> has been long overdue, it is important and must be regarded as a decisive turning point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the first anniversary of the US withdrawal from the nuclear deal, aka Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)<\/a>, the pressure on Iran, augmented by the new act of blacklisting IRGC, drives the clerical regime into a new phase. Soon, we will witness the consequences of blacklisting of IRGC that affects the regime much harsher than the US withdrawal from JCPOA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The role of Iran\u2019s resistance in blacklisting\nIRGC<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It should be noted that over the past years, the Iranian Resistance, particularly Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI)<\/a>, has conducted a tireless campaign calling for an end to the West\u2019s appeasement policy towards the Iran regime and blacklisting its IRGC by the US and European states, for its role in domestic repression as well as exporting terrorism and fundamentalism abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indeed, realizing such an important development is one of the greatest diplomatic achievements for Iran\u2019s resistance, and is for Iran and the Iranian nation\u2019s national and historical benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The significant consequences of blacklisting IRGC\n<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result of blacklisting IRGC, the primary arm of the clerical regime for repression, suppression and crime,<\/g> will be subjected to political, military, financial, and communication pressures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Considering the IRGC\u2019s role in Iran\u2019s economy, which owns a huge share\nin the national financial sector, blacklisting IRGC, is a crippling blow to the\nregime\u2019s apparatus of plundering and embezzlement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By blacklisting IRGC, the misguided appeasement policy is doomed to\nfail which is of benefit to the countries that are suffering from the criminal\nmeddling of the IRGC and its terrorism, both in the region and beyond it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blacklisting IRGC will change the final balance of power inside Iran\nin favor of the Iranian people\u2019s uprisings and their organized resistance, PMOI\/MEK.\nAt the same time, blacklisting IRGC will turn the international spotlight on\nthis terrorist entity as the main problem of Iran, the Middle East, and Asia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regime\u2019s officials\u2019 reaction;\nmuddying the waters <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To minimize the psychological\neffects on their frustrated forces, the regime\u2019s officials and organizations\nhave resorted to silly shows of saber-rattling.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the official IRNA\nnews agency on Monday, April 8, the regime\u2019s Supreme National Security Council\nconsiders the US government as the \u201cstate sponsor of terrorism\u201d and has\nannounced the US Central Command forces in West Asia (CENTCOM) as a\n\u201cterrorist group\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mohammed Javad Zarif, regime\u2019s\nForeign Minister, advised his boss, Hassan Rouhani on Monday, April 8, to place\nUS forces in Western Asia on Tehran\u2019s list of \u201cterrorist\u201d groups.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These regime\u2019s insubstantial\nmeasures, with no practical support, may have just domestic propaganda impact;\nbut in the international community, no one gives them any serious\nconsideration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heresy and peril <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart from theatrical bragging,\nthere is a lot of official\u2019s concern over blacklisting IRGC. Seyyed Javad\nSadatinejad, the representative of Kashan and Aran and Bidgol in the regime\u2019s\nMajlis (parliament), called the US act as a \u201cDangerous heresy in the\ninternational arena\u201d. He said: \u201cBlacklisting IRGC is a dangerous heresy in\nthe international arena and will surely lead to the Islamic Republic\u2019s serious\ncounteraction. The US troops and military centers will be identified by Iran\n(regime) as terrorist targets, and targeting them will be legitimate.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0No need to say that the concepts\nof \u2018heresy\u2019 and \u2018international danger\u2019 are indirectly pointing to the failure\nof the appeasement policy towards the mullahs and changing the global balance\nof power to the detriment of the clerical regime. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u200c\u200c\u200c\u200cBlacklisting\nIRGC is the beginning of a new chapter in the relationship between the US, and indeed,\nthe entire international community, regarding the Iran regime which drives it\nto the brink of overthrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, blacklisting IRGC is the political fruit of the Iranian resistance\u2019s disclosure of the role of IRGC in domestic repression, export of terrorism and fundamentalism abroad, and destabilizing the Middle East.
