Hello to all distinguished friends. and dear Maryam Rajavi\u00a0 <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI was in\nthe regime\u2019s prisons for six years. The Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) arrested me\nwhile I was pregnant. I was taken to Evin prison and the torture chambers. I\nwas transferred to Ward 209. In the cell, I saw four torturers torture my\nhusband in front of me. They also tortured me in front of him,\u201d said Ms. Kobra\nJokar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA few days\nlater, they executed him with 75 others. The torturer said, \u2018I wanted him to\nnever see his son.\u2019 \u201cThe regime had executed 50 pregnant women, including\nMasumeh, the sister of Mrs. Rajavi. They took me to a hospital and quickly\nbrought me back to prison even though. I was feeling very bad,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn prison,\nthere was no doctor or medication for the children. In the public ward, there\nwas only 15 minutes of warm water per day, which we had to use to bath the\nchildren. Many of these children had lost their parents,\u201d Ms. Jokar continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe\ntorturers even interrogated the children. They had strapped a small child to a\nchair in a dark room and tortured her so she reveals the names of her mother\u2019s\nfriends,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI managed to escape prison in 1987<\/a>. One year later, all of those ladies who shared the cell with me were executed in the 1988 massacre,\u201d Ms. Jokar added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe roots\nof our hopes and faith in our leaders helped us overcome the dark times in\nprison and to fight for freedom,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My name is\nKobra Jokar, I spent 6 years in the Iranian regime\u2019s prisons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0The Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) arrested me while I was\npregnant. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They\nbattered me and ignored our neighbor, an elderly man who begged them not to\nbeat me. They took me to the Evin prison and put me in the torture chamber. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the\ncell, I saw four torturers torture my husband in front of me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They also\ntortured me in front of him; they wanted to break our spirit but they never\nsucceeded. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few days\nlater, they executed him with 75 others. The torturer said, \u201cI wanted him to\nnever see his son.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One night,\nafter severe tortures she was brought to the ward, they executed her at dawn. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

IRGC forces took me to hospital in fear of\nprotests escalation, but they returned me back to prison right after the birth\nof my child despite the doctors\u2019 disagreement. In prison, my dear sisters\nMaryam Parviz, Nadia Kaviani (both are MEK martyrs) were looking after me while\ntheir toes had turned black and their feet were in bandage due to the tortures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In February\n1982, prison wardens took me to hospital and quickly brought me back to prison\neven though I was feeling very bad; my dear sisters Maryam Parviz and Nadia\nKaviani, who were severely tortured, took care of me. They were later executed.\nSome days before that they didn\u2019t take my cellmate Parvaneh to hospital to give\nbirth to her baby, and she died with her unborn child.\u00a0 As far as I know regime executed 50 pregnant\nwomen, including Masumeh, the sister of Mrs. Rajavi she was tortured before\nexecution, Sima Ahamdi who was executed with her unborn child, and Zahra\nBijanyar, whose child died in her womb and then they killed her. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\nweren\u2019t enough milk and food for the children. My cellmates gave me their\nlittle ration of sugar so I could feed my baby. There weren\u2019t any doctors or\nmedication in our cell; once my child got sick and was about to die, \u00a0We were 750 people in a public cell with the capacity of\nless than 70 people. Every 10 days we had hot water for 15 minutes, and we had\n50 children to bath in such a short time. Some of these children had lost one\nor both of their parents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once,\nprison wardens opened the door and threw a four-month-old baby into the cell. Her\nmother was executed, so I took care of her for a year. She was dying from\nstarvation. The torturers even interrogated the children. When a child came\nback from the torture chamber, told her mother Shayesteh, that they had\nstrapped a 6-year-old child to a chair in a dark room and tortured her so she\nrevealed the names of her mother\u2019s friends. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is how\nwe spent years in prison. Until 1985 we were 150 people in the cell and\nsuffered numerous attacks by the IRGC members. They finally dispersed us, some\nwere transferred to other provinces. I was released in 1987 due to my\nillnesses, but so many of my cellmates were executed in the 1988 massacre,\nincluding Ashraf Ahamadi and Shahla Shahdoost, who gave birth to their children\nin the prison, or Monireh Rajavi who had two little daughters at the time of\nexecution, and Shahla Koohestan who had her child with her in prison. Others\nwere my friends Dr. Shoorangiz Karimian, Dr. Zahra Shabzendedar, Dr. Houri Beheshti-Tabar,\nMaryam Golzadeh Ghafouri, Zohreh Eynolyaghin, Azam Taghdare, Maryam\nTavanaian-far, Qodsieh Havakeshian, Mehri Attaie and her sister Soheila, who\u00a0 had lost one eye under torture, Homa\nRadmanesh and Afagh Daknama along with thousands of other heroines who believed\nin the cause of freedom and had faith and hope in our beloved leaders Massoud\nand Maryam Rajavi.
