Exhibit to commemorate victims of the 1988\u00a0massacre and blue girl<\/p>\n\n\n\n
By staff<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n On thursday,12 of September, 2019 on the picturesque Law of\nthe\u00a0U.S.\u00a0Capitol, Organization of\u00a0Iranian\u00a0American\u00a0Communities\nheld an Exhibit to commemorate victims of the 1988\u00a0massacre\u00a0of 30,000\u00a0political\u00a0prisoners\u00a0in\u00a0Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u00a0Among the speakers far have been Representatives Elliot\nEngel (D-NY), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Representative\nSteve Cohen (D-TN), Chair of the House\u00a0Iran\u00a0Human Rights\u00a0and\nDemocracy Caucus, as well as Representative Juan Vargas (D-CA). These Senior\nMembers\u00a0of Congress and other speakers condemned\u00a0Iranian\nregime\u00a0for this crime against humanity and spoke passionately in support\nof freedom and democracy in\u00a0Iran.
\nIn his remarks, Chairman Engel pointed to past and present bipartisan measures\nin the\u00a0United States\u00a0Congress which demonstrate support for the\npeople and\u00a0human rights\u00a0in\u00a0Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
