Why Iran is a threat?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Destroying Israel has become an \u201cachievable goal\u201d thanks to the Iranian regime\u2019s technological advances, the commander of Iran\u2019s Revolutionary Guards claimed on Monday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis sinister regime must be wiped off the map and this is no\nlonger a dream but an achievable goal,\u201d Major General Hossein Salami said,\nas quoted by the Guards\u2019 Sepah news site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFour decades on from Iran\u2019s Islamic revolution, we have managed to\nobtain the capacity to destroy the imposter Zionist regime\u201d, Salami said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is not the first time that the Iranian\nregime has threatened to wipe Israel off map. During his tenure, former\nPresident Mahmoud Ahmadinejad repeatedly threatened Israel and said on several\noccasions that the country \u201cmust be wiped off the map.\u201d Ahmadinejad also denied\nthe Holocaust, the massacre of Jews by Nazi Germany during World War II.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we say that Iran is a threat, it is not just\none country that has threatened another, but it is an ideology and strategy\nthat the Iranian regime has adopted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Threatening other countries to be wiped off the world\nmap or threatening them to war is against international law and world peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the path that the Iranian regime has chosen is\nto wage war all over the region. Iran is a threat because it is a state sponsor\nof terrorism and control many terrorist groups in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iran is a threat because it recently launched a\ndangerous attack on Saudi oil facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a press conference held at the National Press Club <\/a>of Washington, DC, on Monday, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI<\/a>) revealed new information about this attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based\non intelligence obtained by the Iranian opposition People\u2019s Mojahedin\nOrganization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>) from inside the Iranian regime, the decision for this\nattack was taken in the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), presided over\nby regime President\u00a0Hassan Rouhani<\/a>.\nForeign Minister\u00a0Mohammad Javad Zarif<\/a>\u00a0is\nalso a regular member of the SNSC and attends its sessions. A number of\nRevolutionary Guards (IRGC) commanders attended this meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier, the US State Department explicitly held Iran\nresponsible for the attack. But Iran\u2019s mullahs tried to lay the blame on the\nHouthis, their proxies in Yemen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During a Friday prayer sermon in the city of Mashhad on September 20, less than a week after the attacks, Ahmad Alamalhoda<\/a>, the representative of the Iranian regime supreme leader said, \u201cYou go on accusing Iran. Did you think Iran is confined to its geographical borders?\u2026 Today, the Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Force) in Iraq is Iran. The Lebanese Hezbollah is Iran. Ansarollah (the Houthis) in Yemen is Iran. The Syrian National Front is Iran. Palestine\u2019s Islamic Jihad is Iran. Hamas is Iran. These have all become Iran.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iran is a threat because it hid its nuclear\nprojects for years until it was revealed by the NCRI in 2002. After reaching an\nagreement with world powers in 2015 to set limits on its nuclear program, the\nIranian regime continues to hide part of its nuclear projects from the International\nAtomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the global nuclear watchdog. Iran also refrained\nto respond to the Agency\u2019s questions and come clean on its past nuclear\nweaponization activities. According to the latest IAEA report, advanced\ncentrifuges have also been used in violation of the JCPOA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iran is a threat because it spends Iran\u2019s wealth on terrorism, weapons of mass destruction and destabilizing neighboring countries. Therefore, as Mrs. Maryam Rajavi president<\/a>-elect of the NCRI emphasized<\/a>, decades of silent and inaction vis a vis the regime\u2019s aggression have emboldened it. Experience has proven that the clerical regime cannot be reformed and understands only the language of power and firmness. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The regime\u2019s increased aggressions only show its\ndespair and deadlock, a reflection of the final phases of the life of this\nregime. The regime and its officials are like drowning people who are grabbing\nat anything they find. The regime is faced with increasing unrest inside Iran\nin the past year, protests that continue on a daily basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, the regime can\u2019t contain the growth of its\norganization movement, the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK), which\ncontinues to expand its activities inside Iran and abroad. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iran\u2019s economy is on the verge of total collapse\nbecause of the endemic corruption in the regime\u2019s institutions and officials.\nIn this context, any desperate action the regime takes will only further push\nit into the quagmire it has found itself in.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
