During\nthe past few years, the Iranian people are in different methods displaying their\nutter hatred and outrage vis-\u00e0-vis the mullahs\u2019 regime, using all opportunities\nto protest state corruption and cruelty. One of the latest protests was the HIV\noutbreak crisis in Lordegan, southern Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On October 5, anti-government\u00a0protests erupted in Iran\u2019s\nCharmahal & Bakhtiary<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0province after it became evident that dirty needles used\nby the regime\u2019s Health Ministry in Lordegan county infected hundreds of people\nwith HIV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Angry youth and citizens of Lordegan\u00a0set fire to the office of\nthe Friday Prayer leader<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(the mullah acting as the local spokesperson of the\nregime\u2019s supreme leader Ali Khamenei) as well as a number of other government\nbuildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Interestingly, while the\nprotests erupted over the AIDS crisis in Lordegan, the protesters quickly\nstarted targeting the regime in its entirety, chanting slogans such as \u201cDeath\nto the dictator,\u201d \u201cDon\u2019t be afraid, we\u2019re all together,\u201d and \u201cNot Gaza, not\nLebanon. My life for Iran.\u201d The protesters also called for the regime\u2019s Health Minister\nto resign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The\nIranian regime\u2019s suppressive forces in Lordegan attacked the town locals\u00a0protesting<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0against the\nregime, killing one protester by the name of Saadatollah (Gharib) Mousavi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n However, the people\ncontinued their protests unabated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When regime officials entered the Chenar Mahmoudi village, where\nhundreds of its inhabitants had been infected with HIV<\/strong><\/a>,\n<\/strong>angry\nprotesters encircled their vehicle and broke its windows. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Protesters encircling the vehicle of\nregime officials in Chenar Mahmoudi of Lordegan, southern Iran, and broke its\nwindows with bricks and stones<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Communities across Iran expressed\ntheir solidarity with the risen residents of Lordegan and supported the people\nof Chenar Mahmoudi, especially victims of the HIV virus infection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Iran\u2019s regime resorts to\npropaganda to control the situation <\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n In a futile effort to\ncontain the situation, the regime resorted to a widespread propaganda campaign\nagainst the people of Lordegan. In an interview with state TV, Iranian regime Health\nMinister Saeid Namaki denied the regime\u2019s role in infecting the people of\nLordegan with HIV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe have had reports of\nHIV infections since 40 days ago\u2026 We were taking care of the issue in a\ncontrolled and silent manner. Two days ago, however, news spread pertaining to\nthe use of dirty needles. These reports are not true,\u201d Namaki added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If the Lordegan AIDS\ncrisis was, as the regime\u2019s Health Minister claims, not very serious, why did\nit result in such protests and national solidarity against the regime?<\/p>\n\n\n\n The answer to this question came from Ali Mohammad, the commander of the terrorist-designated Revolutionary Guards (IRGC<\/a>) in Charmahal & Bakhtiary Province, while referring to the active role of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI, Mujahedin-e Khalq or MEK) said, \u201cThe [PMOI\/MEK<\/a><\/strong>] were present in the unrests in Lordegan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Akbari stressed he was\nspeaking on behalf of the province\u2019s high council. \u201cThe enemy is attempting to\nincite hatred against the sacred Islamic Republic in the name of the people of\nChenar Mahmoudi\u2026 The [MEK] were present in the unrests that happened in\nLordegan today,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This again shows the\nregime\u2019s inconsistency. On the one hand, regime leaders and senior officials\nconstantly describe the MEK as a marginal group enjoying no support inside the\ncountry. On the other hand, they lay the blame on the MEK for each and every\nprotest and cases of unrest in Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What regime officials\nrefuse to explain is how the MEK could reach the village of Chenar Mahmoud in\nsuch large numbers and in such short notice, and bring along weapons, set fire\nto government buildings, and chant anti-regime slogans, all while being a\nfringe group with no influence and support inside Iran!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Following the Lordegan AIDS crisis, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI<\/strong><\/a>), said in a\u00a0statement<\/strong><\/a>, \u201cThis corrupt and criminal regime has squandered Iran\u2019s national wealth by pursuing nuclear and missile projects and engaging in foreign warmongering, which has destroyed all aspects of life for the people of Iran, including health and well-being.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
