While Iraq is the second largest\noil exporter the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), the influence\nof Iranian-backed Shiite militias in Iraq\u2019s economy sector and their dominance\nover government projects and the creation of economic empires has led to\nwidespread public discontent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Lebanon, groups affiliated\nwith the Iranian regime, such as Hezbollah, have caused tensions in the\ncountry, causing corruption and disruption. Therefore, the Lebanese people took to the streets in\nprotest to government corruption and against all groups and the government\nsystem. Even in cities that have traditionally been Hezbollah\u2019s center of\npower, people joined demonstrations and rebelled against the current situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Iranian regime was initially\nsilent and tried to control the protests through its affiliated groups in Iraq\nand Lebanon. But the power and will of the people did not give up to the demands of the Iranian regime. Now all the\nofficials of Iran have come out in public and are trying to take control of protests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially they used to suppress people<\/a>, including in Iraq\u2019s Shiite-majority Karbala, where their proxy militias opened fire on protesters and crushed them with vehicles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Lebanon, the Amal movement and Hezbollah also\nattacked protesters at rallies in central Beirut and beat them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neither the Iraqi nor the Lebanese government accused any nation\nstate of interfering in their countries and inciting demonstrations. But Ali\nKhamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Iranian regime, said on March 5 at a\ngathering of army officer students, the US and Western intelligence services are\n\u201csetting up riots in the area.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added, \u201cI recommend to\nthe sympathizers of Iraq and Lebanon to give priority to the cure of insecurity\nand respect for the law.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hassan Nasrallah, leader of the Hezbollah terrorist group, also accused the demonstrators of being supported from outside Lebanon, prompting the Lebanese people to respond by launching a hashtag titled \u201cI am a supporter of the revolution.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
