Iran protests target strategic depth of mullahs<\/a>\u2018 dream to conquer Jerusalem via Karbala<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Iranian regime always spoke of its strategic depth, claiming that Iran\u2019s borders have reached the Mediterranean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nmullahs viewed Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Gaza and even Yemen as their strategic\ndepth, or to put it mildly,\na part of their sovereignty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During\nthe Iran-Iraq war, the mullahs also repeatedly chanted \u201cJerusalem <\/strong>through\nKarbala\u201d means, they must occupy Karbala first and then have\naccess to the Jerusalem<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When\nthe mullahs speak of strategic depth, of course, they mean occupation,\naggression and expansionism in the Arab countries and building of a\nfundamentalist empire. As Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the former president of the\nmullahs, said, \u201cWe want to manage the world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Supreme\nLeader Ali Khamenei has repeatedly said, \u201cIf we do not fight in Damascus we\nmust fight in Tehran, Hamedan and Kermanshah (three cities in Iran).\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIf\nthe enemy invades us and wants to capture Syria or Khuzestan, the first\npriority is to keep Syria because Syria is the thirty-fifth province and a\nstrategic one for us,\u201d said\nanother mullah, Mehdi Taeb, on February 14, 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But\nthese days, things have changed, and the Iranian regime no longer speaks of\nstrategic depth. It has long abandoned talks about conquering Jerusalem <\/strong>through\nKarbala. Instead, Khamenei has been warning\nof the country\u2019s security situation on several occasions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\nis the reason? Initially the motto of the demonstrators in Iraq and Lebanon was\nto overthrow the corrupt authorities and change the economic situation. But\ngradually the protests turned against corrupt leaders and groups affiliated\nwith the Iranian regime. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

People in Karbala, through which the mullahs\u2019 regime sought to reach Jerusalem<\/strong>, repeatedly attacked the regime\u2019s consulate<\/a> and demanded the expulsion of the regime and its affiliates<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In\nNajaf, in addition to slogans against the Iranian regime, pictures of regime\nleaders were set on fire. The names of streets that were named after regime\nfounder Ruhollah Khomeini were changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But\nmost importantly, the recent demonstrations by the Iranian people came as a\nsurprise to the regime, and as the regime sought to suppress the uprising in\nIraq, it plunged into a new crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now\nas the popular uprising both inside the fort and in the strategic depth of the\nIranian regime flows, Ali Khamenei, calls the popular movements in Iraq and\nLebanon and Iran protests<\/strong> a ploy by enemies,\nespecially the US. But he is well aware that a new era has begun and that the\nbeginning of the end of his regime is well visible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\nis good to take a look at some of the comments made by commanders of the IRGC\nand Basij forces to clarify why we say the beginning of the end of the Iranian\nregime has appeared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brigadier General Salar Abnoush, Operation Commander of Basij<\/a>, on Thursday; November 21, describes<\/a> recent protests in Iran as \u201coutright world war\u201d that \u201csuddenly swept across the country.\u201d He insisted, \u201cOnly God saved us\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ali Fadawi, the deputy commander in chief of the IRGC<\/a>, likened recent protests in Iran to Operation \u201cKarbala 4\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When commanders of the IRGC and Basij\nforces confess that the recent Iran\nprotests <\/strong>were like World War III or\nOperation Karbala 4 we can see how dangerous Iran protests <\/strong>were\nfor the regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mullahs are losing sleep over the Iran protests <\/strong>and\nthey are now most concerned about maintaining their sovereignty in Iran.\nAlthough they continue to spend Iranian people\u2019s funds\non their groups in Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq and Syria but they are no longer\nthinking of strategic depth but are trying to somehow control the critical\nsituation after Iran protests<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, the Iranian people have gone\nthrough an important stage. They have witnessed the\nmost brutal repression, killing and censorship over the past week, therefore,\ntheir determination to overthrow the mullahs likely increased and we will see\nnew developments soon.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
