Iranian Regime\u2019s corruption runs deep and cannot be remedied under its rule<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The people of Iran started to protest on\nFriday 15th<\/sup> November. It started off as a protest against the\nregime\u2019s decision to sharply increase the price of petrol, but it very quickly\nturned into a major uprising. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

People started to chant slogans about the regime\u2019s corruption and its plundering of the nation\u2019s wealth, and some torched the symbols of this economic mismanagement. Many financial and centres and banks \u2013 symbol of the regime\u2019s wealth contrasting with the people\u2019s poverty \u2013 went up in flames. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC<\/a>) controlls much of the country\u2019s budget <\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Iranian Regime\u2019s\ncorruption has been going on for decades and is an integral\npart of the regime\u2019s rule. The country\u2019s military is at the centre of this,\nwith the notorious Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC<\/a>)\ncontrolling much of the country\u2019s budget. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is a massive network of companies and front-companies in which the Iranian regime hides the illicit money flow. There have been many schemes over the years that claim to work to one aim, while at the same time working towards a corrupt end-point. One such example is the military departments that worked towards combatting sanctions but were actually taking public property through policies of privatisation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NCRI<\/a> has uncovered a great deal of information about Iranian Regime\u2019s corruption <\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The main opposition to the Iranian regime,\nthe National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI<\/a>), has uncovered a great\ndeal of information about the regime\u2019s activities and Iranian\nRegime\u2019s corruption. It\nhas reported<\/a> that the non-state public sector (foundations, armed forces,\nand so on) has the biggest share of the value of the private firms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Supreme Leader and his offices have so\nmuch power \u2013 absolute power \u2013 when it comes to decision-making and the\nlegislative process, giving it control of large parts of the overall budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The IRGC, essentially the army, has set up\na number of financial institutions over the past few years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is state-fuelled corruption and Iranian Regime\u2019s corruption that has caused the Iranian economy to take a\nnose-dive in recent times. The regime then proceeds to spend billions of\ndollars per year on terrorist activities, the support of proxy groups across\nthe Middle East and beyond and its meddling in the internal affairs of other\nnations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All the while, the people of Iran are\ngetting poorer and poorer. More people are falling into the absolute poverty\ncategory \u2013 unable to afford even the most basic of amenities. It goes without\nsaying that regime officials are not experiencing such hardship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During this current uprising, the people of Iran have legitimate demands. They want the regime to stop plundering the nation\u2019s wealth. They want to be put before terrorist and extremist activities. They want human rights, freedom and democracy. They want equality. And they want peace. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The people have been left with no choice but to call for regime change <\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

However, they know that the regime is\nfounded on all of the above and that it depends on all of this to survive.\nWithout this, it would quite simply collapse. Therefore, the people have been\nleft with no choice but to call for regime change to end Iranian Regime\u2019s\ncorruption. And supporting the people of Iran is where\nthe international community needs to take some responsibility. <\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
