Rep Scott Perry: Well, hello everybody. It\u2019s great to see you and there\u2019s a compelling display outside, of course. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rep Scott Perry added: We hear the stories, but the picture is worth\u2014yes, the pictures are worth a thousand words. And as leaders in America, it\u2019s important that we voice our concerns about what\u2019s happening inside Iran. And voice our support for the people that are struggling to breathe free inside of Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rep Scott Perry highlighted: Make the distinction, the difference between the people that want to be free and are protesting their government at significant peril\u2014the reports are thousands killed, captured, arrested, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Make the differentiation between the regime that runs Iran and the wonderful people of Iran who want to be free, who want to live in the 21st century, who want to have a relationship with other freedom-loving people around the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said: As leaders in Washington, D.C. and America to say that we support, we support the efforts of those who want to be free and we demand that the totalitarian regime of Iran let them be free and let them determine their own destiny. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rep Scott Perry: I want to thank all of you for bringing this display and this event to the capital so that we can see it with our own eyes and that we have an opportunity to weigh in and so that you know where we stand on behalf of the people that we can\u2019t reach out and touch but we want to be very, very supportive of their efforts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
