In a message, on December 15, Romeo Nicoara, Member of the Romanian Parliament, expressed his support and solidarity with the nationwide Iran protests<\/a> and the Iranian resistance movement, the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization<\/a> of Iran (PMOI, MEK) and the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI<\/a>). He also urged the international community to choose a firm policy vis-a-vis the Iranian regime\u2019s deadly crackdown on protesters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Below is the full text of Mr. <\/em> Nicoara\u2019s message. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hello,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My name is Romeo Nicoara, member of the Romanian Parliament. I hereby express\nmy regret and sadness over the deaths of hundreds of Iranians in the past few\ndays. Some of the victims were under the age of 18. They were unarmed and came\nto the streets to protest against a regime that is not of their choice. The\nIranian people shout out that they do not want the mullahs\u2019 rule. They are seeking\na democratic republic based on the separation of religion and government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response to\ntheir protests, lead bullets shatter their brains. Why? Do we not all live in a\nglobal village? So what has been the reaction of the inhabitants of this global\nvillage to these crimes so far? Aren\u2019t international organizations, especially\nthe UN, responsible for such crimes? Yes, the whole world, especially the UN is\ninvolved because Iran is a member of this international organization and has\nsigned its various conventions on human rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Romeo Niocara<\/em> added: Unfortunately, the significant silence of the international community has given way to the religious fascist regime in Iran to kill as many Iranians as possible. Over the past 40 years of its rule, we have witnessed the execution of 120,000 political dissidents and the massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in 1988. This killing machine is still causing victims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Romeo Niocara<\/em> highlighted: Thousands have been injured or arrested during recent days. The fate of the detainees is unknown, and with statements made by the regime\u2019s leaders on various tribunes, the amputation of protesters is considered a religious doctrine. They are very likely to be tortured and executed, particularly that this regime has a long history in the field of executions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silence is enough.\nWe must take a stand against these crimes against humanity. I, on behalf of the\nCommittee of Romanian Parliamentarians for Free Iran, condemn this massacre and\ndemand the release of the detainees and their torture and execution to be\nstopped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
