International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC<\/a>) Secretary General\u2019s support for Iran protests<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On December 21^{st<\/sup> the Secretary-General of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), Mrs. Sharan Burrow, condemned the brutal crackdown on public protests by Iranian regime officials that caused the loss of hundreds lives and injured thousands, and she told the upraised people in Iran that your courage is great; we stand behind you, and I salute your courage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n}

The International Trade Union\nConfederation (ITUC),\nestablished since November 1, 2006, currently comprises 200 million members of\nworkers from various fields of 332 trade unions; in 163 countries. Headquartered\nin Geneva, it has close links with the United Nations, International Labor\nOrganization ILO and other specialized UN agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The International Trade Union\nConfederation (ITUC)also holds a consultative role at the United Nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
