Iran facing on brink n collapse as\nelections near<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Iranian Regime will soon collapse and\nthe mullahs have turned on each other in their constant infighting to blame the\nother faction for the crises they\u2019re facing. Aside from ongoing protests by its\npeople, the regime is facing two main crises:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the\nParliamentary election<\/li>
the\u00a0adoption\nof the\u00a0Combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT)\u00a0legislation<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
With regards to the election, the Guardian Council, which is under the direct control of supreme leader Ali Khamenei, supervises candidates and decides whether they can run. The Council\u00a0has\u00a0disqualified <\/a>more than 90 current MPs, mainly from President\u00a0Hassan Rouhani\u2019s faction, and prevented them from running again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is Khamenei\u2019s<\/a> attempt to unify\u00a0the mullahs under him and has angered Rouhani and his faction who want to hold onto power. It has also terrified the mullahs because they know that public displays of their infighting will only cause more protests, which spells disaster because the Iranian people are not going to stop until they get regime change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rouhani even admitted that the regime has\nbeen rigging elections for the past four decades and called for the mullahs to\ncome together and prolong the life of the regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The other crisis in the deadlock over the\nFinancial Action Task Force (FATF) legislation, which\u00a0the\u00a0regime\nneeds to accept in order to access the\u00a0world\u2019s banking system. Despite the\nfact that the one-year deadline on accepting the CFT expired on January 21, the\nregime\u2019s Expediency Council has not yet said whether it will adopt the\nlegislation <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Why not? Well, the most significant problem\nis that the CFT would expose the regime\u2019s funding\u00a0of terrorist groups and\nprevent the terrorist Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) from controlling the\ncountry\u2019s\u00a0economy. Cutting off the IRGC\u2019s financial resources will prevent\nthe force from having enough money to crush future uprisings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rouhani\u2019s faction wants to increase its\npower and prolong the regime by clinging to Western powers, but this won\u2019t work\nbecause western governments demand specific\u00a0measures, including the ending\nof meddling in the affairs of other countries and support for terrorism. The\nregime will never submit to this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Iranian people don\u2019t trust this regime\nand are, in fact, determined to topple it, as shown by their recent protests,\nwhere they chanted \u201cReformist, Hardliner the game is over\u201d, and the Iranian people,\ntogether with their resistance forces, will soon topple this regime,\u00a0and end\nthe crises in Iran.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
