The unprecedented nationwide strike launched by Iran\u2019s truck drivers across the country entered its third day on Thursday.\u00a0Iran Truck drivers<\/a> are protesting poor living conditions and increasing commissions demanded by authorities. Thousands of truck drivers are refusing to transfer loads or accept new loads, as this movement is already sweeping 93 cities in 25 provinces throughout Iran.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis wealth is being squandered so that ordinary Iranian citizens are both sending their young men off to fight and die and living lives that aren\u2019t as secure and as wealthy as they could be if Iran would simply change its behavior,\u201d Pompeo, a former House Republican, said.<\/p>\n

Rep. Last week, the protestsin Kazerun, which had begun about\u00a0 a few months earlier<\/a>\u00a0over the government\u2019s plans to divide the city into smaller areas, turned into clashes between the government and people when security forces attacked and killed several of the protesters. As the Kazerun protests showed, the social climate across the entirety of Iran is tense, and chances that uprisings reoccur are very high.<\/p>\n

The Explosive Conditions of Iran\u2019s Society and Their Lack of <\/strong>Happiness:<\/strong> The personal and social beliefs of Iranian people is inclined towards \u201csadness\u201d<\/p>\n

Gharaei Moghaddam, who is a sociologist and professor at Tehran University, emphasised on the lack of happiness in Iran: \u201cTo be very frank, Iran\u2019s people are not happy. We must acknowledge the importance of happiness as the basis of life. Even though the people of India are poor, they are still much happier than our people\u201d.<\/p>\n

He also commented on the direct impact of employment on \u2018social happiness\u2019: \u201croughly 3.5 million of our young citizens are unemployed, and as a result, are unable to experience happiness.
