On June 20, the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK) held an international online conference<\/a> to mark the 39th anniversary of the Day of the Martyrs\u00a0and like all MEK conferences, it was attended by some of the best and the brightest in the\u00a0world.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here, we will look at the remarks of British Baroness Sandy Verma, who began by sending her best wishes to the MEK headquarters at Ashraf 3<\/a> in Albania.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She said:\u00a0\u201cWe have gathered today to recognize and remember the four decades-long\u00a0struggle\u00a0for a free and democratic Iran, where women have a leadership role and are at the forefront of the protests. Throughout this struggle, there have been great personal sacrifices and courage in the face of brutal theocratic tyranny. The regime has executed and killed over 120,000 supporters and members of the Iranian Resistance movement and the\u202fMEK, not only in Iran but also through terrorist assassinations in Europe.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
