Dr. Christoph Ploss, Member of the German Bundestag and President of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany in Hamburg, addressed an online event <\/a>in Germany on October 8, 2020, to draw attention to the human rights abuses in Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dozens of German MPs and dignitaries joined an online conference. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference was under the title,\u00a0Iran: Executions Means of Keeping Power, Stop Massacre of Protesters, The European Duty.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was hosted by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI<\/a>), in which participants strongly condemned the mullahs\u2019 increase in human rights violations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was attended by cross-party Members of Germany\u2019s Bundestag (parliament) and European dignitaries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mrs.\u00a0Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran(NCRI<\/a>), was the keynote speaker at this conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The panelists urged the European Union to end its policy of appeasement toward the regime and support the Iranian people\u2019s desire for a free and democratic country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The supporters of the NCRI <\/a>and the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI \/ MEK<\/a>) also gathered in front of the \u201cReichstag\u201d building in Berlin at the same time to protest against the recent executions in Iran, demanding the EU stand with the Iranian people and their Resistance in the struggle for freedom and to end the policy of appeasement toward the ruling regime in Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
